Sikkim Manipal University was founded and established in 1995 and is located near Gangtok, Sikkim, India. SMU is also recognized by University Grants commission and is approved by government of India. It hosts the second largest hospital in sikkim.

About Smu’s Distance Education Programme
Smu offers programmes in Masters, Bachelors, Diploma and PG diploma levels in various disciplines like Information Technology, Management, Journalism and mass communication. The programme are made accessible through 800+ University Authorised Centres across the country.
So far over 4 lakh students are benefited from the Distance Education Programmes. SMU fee structure is also good.
