Boot camp is software packed OS X Lion and Mountain Lion. This software permits to run Microsoft windows on a Intel-Based Mac. Just check your Mac’s “about this Mac” section to check whether it’s powered by Intel based processors or not.

How to install Windows 8 on your Mac using Bootcamp?

#1. First of all make sure that your computer meets windows 8 needs. This is not a big trouble for newest computers.

If you want to check the windows 8 necessities just take a look below-

  • Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with support for PAE, NX, and SSE2
  • RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
  • Hard disk space: 16 GB (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
  • Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver

#2. Buy a Windows 8

If you want to buy windows 8 os then click here. Remember only windows 8 and windows 8 pro versions are compatible with Mac OS X. The windows enterprise versions are unsupported.

#3. Create New Hard Drive partition.

Now launch only the Bootcamp assistant software to create and configure the windows 8 partitions. The disk utilities and third party partitions should not be used here. So just use Bootcamp assistant software and choose the size of partitions that you preferred to make. And don’t forget the minimum needed space for installing windows 8 is 16 GB.

#4. Installing Windows 8

One thing you need to make sure windows 8 must be install on your device system internal disk using Bootcamp. Apple doesn’t support to install windows 8 OS on external space. Now use the boot camp software and choose the option “Start Windows Installer,” then insert the windows 8 disc. After that just follow the installation wizard and do all the steps correctly.

Remember: When you installing the windows 8 OS make sure you prefer the correct partition because if you select the incorrect partition then all the data in that particular section will be erased.

#5. Experiencing Windows 8

Now your job is done! The windows 8 will automatically launched on your system reboots. All you have to do is customize it and enter the new world of metro UI  style tiles.
