In today’s day and age with the dawn of smartphones, WIFI has become almost indispensable. The ease of using wireless internet has fuelled the use. However, with ease also comes the question of security. If you can access your WIFI netwrok by the click of a button, anyone else can also do it and you will be held accountable for any misuse of your connection.

Everybody asks this question how to protect our wifi connection as without protection anybody can use it and cause great damage to us. so dont worry here i am with my new trick of protecting our wifi connections. There are certain steps which we have to follow in order to protech our wifi connection

Step to Protect Wi-Fi Connection 

 Step1
This is the most basic step,first of all open your router setting page and then create a unique or differnt password for your router so that nobody else can use your  router setting.

Step2
Next step is to change your network SSID name as every router come with a defualt name i.e “default” this you can do by going in wirless basic setting page in your routers setting.

Step 3

Please guys enable network encryption as many of ours used to use no encryption this no good habbit , always set a network encryption to your router more secure

Step 4.
Next is to filter your MAC address to do this first of all make a list of all hardware devices that you

want to connect and get there mac address and add them to mac adress filtering in your router administration page you can get the mac address of any devices under their network setting.

Step 5.
To make it secure form others you can also reduce its wireless signal range.to do so change the mode of your router to 802.11g inplace of 802.11n or 802.11b or you can use other wireless channel.

Step6.

To make it more secure you hav to just upgrade your router firmware.to check the existing the version go to router dashboard.

After following these steps, you can rest assured that you wireless connection will be kept secure from any unauthorized access .
